Bv305 New Year

And so a new year has begun! This is the time where one typically reflects upon the previous year, and all that came and went. It is a time where one chooses to correct mistakes, and make changes to what may have failed in the previous year. Or….it’s time taken as an opportunity to better ones self. We have all heard the phrase, “New Year, New Me”.

Some might say it’s the biggest cliché since “it’s not you, it’s me”, and in truth….it is. You see, such a statement imposes a simple untruth; which is to acknowledge that what you are isn’t good enough, and that’s the furthest thing from the truth. Now, there is nothing wrong with improvement, and this much is down right accurate, but improving on ones self doesn’t automatically identify your present self as insufficient, it simply means you are ambitious. So let us start with this change. Not “New Me” but, Better Me. As a matter of fact; Better Us!

BV305 is, and always has been a staple for their community; fueled by their knowledge of what determination does, and their willingness to be a light to another’s darkness. They have extended beyond their own homes and city, and have become a beacon to any that looks their way. A simple good morning message from an energetic, and seemingly psychotic few. Later, an afternoon post showcasing the time they spend in each other’s company. Even drawing to a close; a day spent working themselves to their bones; with another bit of positive reinforcement. This is the journey they take to attain this. It’s a journey of the soul.

Positive reinforcement comes a long way. You may be a realist, and reflect more on the reality that is action. Indeed, actions create possibilities, and reinforce goals to become achievements rather than just dreams. However, the positive outlook on a seemingly impossible situation is what makes reality seem less troubled, and drives your Will to achieve your success.

Furthering into betterment, one believes that the focal point of self improvement is ones self. Completely unaware of the impact it makes to one’s being, to be the light to another. In this new year, you are urged to be better. Why not help another to be better, and in doing so, better yourself. Feed off the energy you give off that triggers all that’s around you, and effects you just as efficiently. The Bearded Villains Miami challenges you now!

Don’t be a new you. Who YOU are is perfect. Be a better you, be a you that others look up to. The you that people get inspired by. The you that inspires a greater people. A greater Us!

Amigos for kids

There are 365 days in a year, by our standard calendar. Many of these 365 days, the average person spends their time doing insubstantial things. A day at the house, watching TV, or maybe kicking it with their friends. Of course, everyone earns their living, and spends half their life slaving in one sense or another, but the moments one looks forward to, are of the aforementioned.

Of course, there are other moments that are a bit more….lavish, that is just as important when there is time off. The crazed parties, expensive getaways, fancy meals with elegant company at overpriced eateries; pretty much filling up in a dose of vanity. The joys of life, if you will. Then, there is that which fulfills like nothing else can. The simple act of giving back.

As is already known by so many, BV305 has become a group that is looked upon when charity is involved. One thing that drives them, is the ability to give back when able, in whatever form is at their disposal. More so, it is in keeping their traditions to give their time and effort towards specific events that are meaningfully, valuable or near to them.

Every December for the last 3 years, Bearded Villains Miami team up with Amigos for Kids; an organization that’s existed since 1991, and formed as a subsidiary to Amigo for Children’s Homes, until they branched off a year later, to form their own independent organization with the purpose of raising awareness for the needs of South Florida’s abuses, neglected, and less-fortunate children.

In particular, this December 15th event was in the spirit of Christmas. Dozens of volunteers come together with Amigos, and figuratively dawn their Santa hats, and elf ears to gather up the items donated by so many, to later be received by these young and needing souls. A few hours of hard work, to bring smiles that last a lifetime.

In the 365 days in a year, a handful of hours can make the difference in the life of so many. These are the moments the bearded brothers live for. As people in a world filled with so much, how will you sacrifice your time, to make your difference?
